The Italian blue helmets in Lebanon have delivered to Tiro, to the Imam Moussa Al Sadr Foundation, an important sanitary-hospital equipment. The donation took place in the presence of the Imam's sister, Rabab Al Sadr, the mayor of Tiro Hassan Dbouk and the commander of the Sector West of UNIFIL general Ugo Cillo.

In particular, the staff of ITALBATT, the Italian maneuvering unit of the western sector, donated, thanks to the involvement of the University hospital of Udine, a dental practice and two diaphanoscopes and, thanks to the collaboration of the Andromeda onlus, two thermal cots. The activity is part of those in support of local institutions in southern Lebanon and the “Al Sadre” Foundation is among those most involved in the social, educational and health fields for the benefit of the needy population.

The president of the Foundation thanked the Italian contingent for the attention shown and the closeness to the needs of the Lebanese population.

Also in Tire, the commander of ITALBATT, Colonel Angelo Di Domenico, in the presence of the Maronite Archbishop Skukrallah Nabil Al Haje, delivered computer and teaching material to the school of "San Giuseppe" for the students of the institute. Part of the material was donated by the Lions Club Gorizia Host, the city where the cavalry brigade "Pozzuolo del Friuli", where the Italian contingent is currently commanded in Lebanon, is based.

The command of ITALBATT is a regimental guide "Genoa Cavalleria" (4 °) of Palmanova (Ud).
