A team working with motivated volunteers of the ANA, has worked for about 2 weeks side by side, with the Alpine Taurinese realizing in a very short time the recovery of the entire archaeological area of Qana,

The site has a very symbolic value for Lebanese Christians, but it is equally dear to the Shiite community, which is almost the whole population of Qana. He had been the mayor of the village to ask the Italian contingent to cooperate for the improvement of the archaeological area.

The recovery intervention was the umpteenth occasion with which the ANA made its proximity to the Italian military and in particular to the young alpinists in arms felt. An opportunity to live and mature common experiences, reinforcing those natural bonds of alpine brotherhood that for almost a century the "veci" continue to preserve in the habit of the National Association.

The attention given by the Italian contingent to the protection and protection of the cultural heritage of southern Lebanon, was immediately shared by the leaders of theNational Alpine Association and the work promoted on the Lebanese territory was so much appreciated by the authorities and the local population that during the reopening of the site they wanted to pay the ANA the honorary citizenship of Qana.
