The UNIFIL West Side Sector staff at the Italian Railways is currently conducting some activities to celebrate the United Nations International Children's Day and UNICEF, these days, from 20 to 23 November.
In particular, the Unifil staff met almost 400 children in public schools in the localities of Siddiqin, Boustan & Ramya and Dibil to dedicate an important moment to them and to make them feel an important part of adult life and a fundamental aspect for the construction of better companies for the future.
It was an opportunity to emphasize the importance of this day, to promote the improvement of the well-being of minors and to play an important role in making Universal Children's Day ever more important in our societies.
The Universal Day of UN Children was established in 1954 and 20 November 1959 the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child.
