In the past few days, the medical personnel in the Support Group Adherence (GSA) of the Joint Task Force Lebanon organized and conducted, at the base Millevoi of Shama, a course on first aid techniques which was attended by fifteen soldiers of the Internal Security Force (ISF).

The activity, coordinated by the commander of the GSA, Colonel Alessandro Sciarpa, has developed between theoretical and practical lessons, with the aim of increasing the capacity of intervention in cases of emergency health of visitors.

In particular, the staff has trained on the procedures to be adopted in situations of cardio-pulmonary arrest, trauma from road accidents or from the explosion of devices and conflict-related wounds.

The course on first aid techniques is part of the training program prepared by the Italian contingent for the benefit of Lebanese military personnel, a program which also includes courses on crowd control techniques (Anti Riot and Crowd Control Techniques) and on the recognition of bombs and mines (UXO and Mines Awareness).
