Lebanon: UNIFIL "Semper Collegatum" exercise

The “Semper Collegatum” exercise ended today - highly specialized training activities led by the communications branch (J6) of the UNIFIL headquarters - which involved the broadcasting departments and equipment of the entire international deployment of the mission to test their degree of interoperability.

A further aim of the exercise is to refine the command and control abilities of the personnel and the structures on the ground and improve the ability to connect in a presumed meteorological emergency situation, for the multinational mission operating in South Lebanon in implementation of the 1701 resolution of the United Nations.

The Italian transmitters of the C4 task force (command, control, communication, computer) based on 7 ° regiment transmissions of Sacile (PN), responsible for providing all the communication services for the West Sector, have deployed the advanced command post within of the "Millevoi" base of Shama, headquarters of the headquarters.

The exercise is included among the joint international training activities to which the Italian contingent - on the basis of the Friuli aircraft Brigade under the command of Brigadier General Salvatore Cuoci - actively participates.
