In recent days the Italian contingent has completed the donation of eye and health materials to the Amel Medical Association of Tire and children's materials at Caritas.
Patient beds complete with fireproof mattresses and pillows, stair lifts, multi-purpose wheelchairs for the disabled will be used by the Amel Foundation for outpatient activities. 1600 pairs of glasses will also be distributed to the population, who will be subjected to eye exams during medical care of December by the Italian contingent.
Caritas of Tiro will distribute strollers, games and childcare materials received by Italbatt to assist the population in the south of the country.
The donations were possible thanks to the solidarity and collaboration shown by numerous Italian donors who supported the initiatives promoted by the “Nizza Cavalleria” regiment of Bellinzago Novarese, during the preparation phases for the mission in Lebanon; among the donors: the hospital "Maggiore della Carità", the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, theNational Alpine Association - section of Novara and the Red Cross of Oleggio, the Novara-Ticino Lions club, the UNUCI section. Lombardy order of Malta delegation of Liguria, all very important organizations for the Novara area that wanted to actively support the initiatives promoted for Lebanon by the "Nice".
