Lebanon: the Italian contingent's standards of excellence in operational readiness inspection are confirmed

The Italian contingent deployed in Lebanon has confirmed the standard of excellence during the operational readiness inspection that the United Nations organization imposes on all military forces of contributing nations, known as Operational Readiness Inspection (ORI).

This type of control, which is carried out at least once every 6 months by UNIFIL teams coordinated by the Administrative Administration Center (CAI), is used to verify the standards guaranteed by individual nations, their level of efficiency and, consequently, the operational capabilities of the troops deployed in the area of ​​operations.

The verification involves the personnel, the main equipment, vehicles and armaments, and also the self sustainment that is the capacity of the contingent to maintain itself logistically.

The Italian contingent has been based since last April on the Friuli aircraft brigade in Bologna and has the Italbatt task force based on Genoa cavalry (4 °) of Palmanova (UD), with a battalion of the 66 aircraft regiment “Trieste ”Of Forlì.
