The Italian maneuvering unit of the Joint Task Force - Lebanon (ITALBATT), based on the "Lancers of Montebello" regiment (8th) and commanded by Colonel Massimo Crocco Barisano Colizza, organized and conducted a two-week training in favor of a platoon of the 5th brigade of the LAF (Lebanese Armed Forces), to provide the skills necessary to face a crowd made up of hostile elements, even if in numerical superiority.
Fifteen days in which the instructors of the "green lancers" have theoretically and practically illustrated the approach to the crowd, the posture and the formations to assume based on the attitude of the hostile elements that compose it, as well as the recognition and isolation of the key elements that condition the crowd.

The care of the equipment and its use is fundamental to face the current situation and its possible developments, as well as the adherence to the rules of engagement that each unit is bound to respect.

The training of the LAFs located in southern Lebanon is one of the most important activities foreseen by the UN Security Council resolution n. XUMX, together with the support to the local population through the activities promoted within the framework of the Civil and Military Cooperation (CIMIC ), as well as constant monitoring of the Blue Line, by foot and motorized patrol.
