Lebanon: cycle of joint exercises for the Taurinense

Il Sector West, on an alpine brigade basis Taurinense, concluded a series of joint exercises aimed at maintaining their level of training and implementing common procedures with units from other countries.

The final training day took place in an area adjacent to the village of Naqoura, where Italian maneuvering assets engaged with the equivalent Ghanaian and French units in the simulation of a serious accident and the subsequent management of the escalation of tensions arrived.

The application of standard procedures and the speed of intervention have highlighted the level of preparation of the exploring units of Nice Cavalry, the regiment that provides the Sector Mobile Reserve (reserve unit and ready employment) of the western sector of the UNIFIL mission and the capacity of the staff of the brigade Taurinense to coordinate and implement the command and control procedures through a series of specific exercises involving, to date, most of the dependent units, both national and foreign.

The Taurinense Alpine Brigade, from around 2 months in southern Lebanon, guarantees control of the territory in its area of ​​responsibility in close coordination with the Lebanese armed forces, through continuous joint patrols and a widespread presence on the territory, making use of the maneuvering units of the Nice cavalry regiment (1 °) and of the L'Aquila alpine battalion.
