The Italian contingent in Lebanon has inaugurated at the base of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) of As Shamahya, home of the training activity conducted by MIBIL (Italian Bilateral Mission in Lebanon), an artificial climbing wall, necessary for the specialized training of local troops.

The installation of the artificial wall made it possible to complete the first climbing course (Climbing Course) in favor of the LAF soldiers by a team of rock instructors of the 9th Alpine regiment, currently engaged in Lebanon in the ranks of the Italbatt Task Force. The instructors followed the Lebanese staff during all the training, theoretical and practical phases, eventually leading them to the first "climb" on the wall.

The collaboration between the Italian contingent of UNIFIL of the Alpine Brigade Taurinense with the 5 ^ Lebanese brigade in the last six months it allowed the creation of a strong synergy both in the joint training of the units of the two countries, and in the operational activities on the ground.
