Latvia: Tactical Sniper Competition

In recent days the Baltic Task Group, stationed at Camp Adazi, participated in the Tactical Sniper Competition, an international exercise in which sniper teams of the operation participated enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) and belonging to the different NATO forces present in Latvia.

The activity was promoted by the special operations forces of the Latvian Army with the main objective of sharing the technical-tactical procedures relating to precision shooting at medium and long distances, including from aboard ships, implementing training and reinforcing the link among the various military components participating in the NATO operation in the Baltic country.

An Italian team of 3 snipers from the 11th Bersaglieri regiment took part in the exercise, carrying out fire activities with the armament and equipment provided. The activity took place in the Baltic Gulf, aboard boats, while the final phase took place in the Training Area of Camp Adazi.
