In the training area of Camp Adazi, in Latvia, the personnel of the Bersaglieri company of the Baltic Task Group conducted the first of a series of joint and multinational training activities aimed at achieving full integration with units from other allied countries included in the enhanced Forward Presence of NATO in Latvia.

The training focused on seminars and training activities aimed at standardizing the technical-tactical procedures for using the weapon systems and combat platforms supplied to the Alliance countries.

In particular, national structures have had a predominant role in the organization and conduct of combat training in inhabited centres, in the movements of foot and motorized patrols in snowy environments and in climatic conditions characterized by very cold temperatures, for the creation and development of active defensive, mobility and counter-mobility measures, with the use of Army Engineering assets.

For national aspects, the Italian contingent deployed in Latvia depends directly on the joint forces top operational command (COVI), which directs and coordinates all the activities carried out in the area of operations.
