The TFA 4 ° Stormo trains with the Bulgarian Air Force

The Air 4 Task Force Air Force Stormed in Bulgaria for the mission of enhanced Air Policing "Bulgarian Horse" was exercised jointly with the Bulgarian Air Force, in order to keep the respective Air Force on training and interoperability up to date.

- Euro Fighter of the Italian Air Force have taken off together with the MIG 29 of the Bulgarian military aviation to standardize the procedures of the two NATO countries and to improve the flexibility of the alliance structures by increasing the capacities of the flight crews. 
 
The two Air Forces will train together for the entire duration of the TFA 4 ° Stormo's redeployment, which will continue until October 15. 
The mission of enhached Air Policing is intended to safeguard the integrity of allied airspace. The device of Air Policing set up by NATO ensures fair protection for all its member countries. Cooperation in this field also allows for the aggregation and sharing of existing air assets that helps to avoid additional defense costs for capacity already in Allied countries' possession.
 
The Italian Air Force participates in the operation of enhaced Air Policing in Bulgaria, increasing the capacity of the Bulgarian Air Force in protecting allied airspace with four aircraft Euro Fighter
 
L'Air Policing it is a capacity NATO has endowed since the mid-fifties and consists of the integration into a single NATO air and missile defense system of their respective and similar national systems made available by member countries. The activity of Air Policing is conducted since the time of peace and consists in the continuous surveillance and identification of all violations of the integrity of NATO airspace to which it is confronted by taking appropriate actions useful to counter them, such as the rapid take-off of interceptor fighter aircraft, the so called scramble.
 
L'Air Policing it is carried out within the area of ​​responsibility of the Allied Command Operations of NATO (Allied Command Operations - ACO) based in Brussels and is coordinated by the Headquarters of the Allied Air Command (Allied Air Command) of Ramstein (GER).
