Iraqi Kurdistan: Defense Minister visits Erbil Task Force

The Minister of Defense, Roberta Pinotti, accompanied by the Chief of Defense Staff, General Claudio Graziano, and the Italian Ambassador in Baghdad, Marco Carnelos, arrived today to visit the Italian contingent of the KTCC "Erbil" Task Force (Kurdistan Training Coordination Center) which operates in the Erbil area as part of the "Prima Parthica" Operation.

During the meeting with the Italian military, the minister expressed words of great appreciation for the meritorious work carried out by the personnel of the Italian Armed Forces, engaged in the military training activity in favor of the staff of the KSF (Kurdish Security Forces) military operations against the Da'ish (ISIS jihadists).

In the remainder of the visit, the minister expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved, highlighting how the work done by men and women belonging to all the Armed Forces is always highly appreciated not only by all the political and military authorities, national and international. , but above all from the Institutions and from the Kurdish population.

Specifically, the "Erbil" Task Force, which today consists of approximately 200 men and women, since January has trained about the military 1200 of the KSF.
