Iraqi Kurdistan: Italian trainers complete two new courses

Today, at the training area of ​​Bnaslawa, two training courses were held by the trainers of the Italian contingent located in Erbil.

The first course was for official 30 Peshmerga to refine the command and control procedures in the management of the units employed by them in the conduct of operations, through the study of the land, the organization of the defense of a strategic point and the procedures to be implemented at the checkpoints.

The second course, addressed to 21 soldiers Zeravani soon to be employed in consulates, embassies and other sensitive areas, it was carried out by a team of Italian trainers, who provided the soldiers with basic notions and procedures in topography, first aid, procedures for searches, radio communications and on how to carry out checks on suspicious vehicles.

Women Zeravani have between 20 and 40 years, and have enlisted for a great sense of patriotism and an innate desire to contribute to the defense of Kurdistan: characteristics that emerge from the enthusiasm and interest with which they have followed the training process, and from the appreciation and camaraderie that has also developed towards Italian colleagues.

The total number of Kurdish security forces trained by the Italian contingent since the beginning of the 2015 as part of Operation "Prima Parthica" has thus risen to over 4200.

The commander of the Italian contingent and the commander of the Zeravani, who thanked the Italian military, pointing out the by now consolidated union of intent in the fight against the Da'esh terrorist threat and the importance of having the know-how training of the Italian armed forces at their side.
