Monsignor Frigerio arrived today in Pristina, at the headquarters of the NATO mission KFOR (Kosovo Force), where he was welcomed by the commander, general of division Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta.

"The presence of Monsignor Frigerio, together with the daily work carried out by military chaplains, represents a strong message of closeness and spiritual support," General Miglietta said in thanking the Vicar General of the Military Ordinariate.

Monsignor Frigerio, after being updated by the general on the current situation in Kosovo, expressed words of appreciation for the work, commitment and determination that the men and women of KFOR demonstrate to support the stabilization process in Kosovo on a daily basis. , confirming the closeness and appreciation of the military Ordinariate.

General Miglietta, who took over the command of KFOR last August 8 is driving around 5.000 military belonging to 31 Nations.

Italy, which from 2013 maintains the leadership of the NATO KFOR mission in Kovoso, where it operates from the 1999, represents one of the main supporters of the mission in Kosovo. The Italian contingent counts more than 500 men and women who operate mainly in the western sector of the region.

During his stay in Kosovo, Monsignor Frigerio, in addition to meeting the soldiers of the Italian contingent and imparting the sacrament of confirmation to some of them, will also meet some of the main representatives of the relic communities in Kosovo.
