An agreement was recently signed at "Camp Villaggio Italia" for the renovation of the toilets of a school in the municipality of Klina in Kosovo. The collaboration between the Multinational Battle Group West and the mayor of Klina will favor a considerable improvement in the health and hygiene situation of the structure.
The project is particularly innovative as it will take place in co-financing between the two entities. The works will also be entirely supervised by the education department of the municipality, with the idea of making the work more perceived as the heritage of the whole community. The cooperation will allow the contingent to conserve precious resources to be used in the future in further initiatives in favor of local populations of all ethnic groups.
The commitment to Klina's children is part of a broad program of activities launched by the Italian-led multinational unit in the west of Kosovo. In addition to the contribution provided to the local authorities in maintaining a stable and secure environment, the Multinational Battle Group West, under the command of Colonel Ciro Forte, also works in the implementation of programs for the local population. In developing the projects, the focus is primarily on the new generations, the hope and future of Kosovo.
