Kosovo: KFOR donates equipment to Zubin Potok firefighters

the Joint Regional Detachment - North (JRD-N), donated personal protective equipment, such as fireproof gloves, helmets and amphibians, to the fire station of Zubin Potok, a municipality located in northern Kosovo.

I Joint Regional Detachments they are the units of KFOR with the task of establishing and maintaining relationships based on mutual knowledge and trust with the population and local authorities. Their peculiarity is to observe the political, social, economic and security dynamics of their sector of competence, thus providing KFOR with an updated situation of what happens in Kosovo.

The donation took place in the presence of the deputy mayor of Zubin Potok, Mrs Latinka Utvic, of the KFOR command sergeant major, first marshal Maurizio Sarasino, of the JRD-N commander, colonel Martin Schuler.

With this project, KFOR supports firefighters in order to improve specific skills and operate safely.

The activity is part of a broader program of Civil and Military Cooperation (CIMIC) in favor of the Kosovar population led by KFOR with the aim of contributing to the development and stabilization of the country, as required by the UN Resolution 1244.
