The maneuvering units of the Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG-W) in recent days have carried out an intense training cycle (cross training) which included the development of crowd control and public order management activities in the event of unrest or concentration of hostile masses in the vicinity of a protected site, training for movement in the mountains to increase the operational capacity to respond to potential threats in a non-permissive environment and small arms shooting lessons.

The multinational maneuver battalion, based on 3 ° mountain artillery regiment of the Alpine "Julia" brigade, has deployed the maneuver units composed of Austrian, Italian, Moldovan and Slovenian soldiers in the Camp "Villaggio Italia" exercise area, in the Belo Polje mountain area and at the Orahovac shooting range.

The objective of the joint training, carried out by the military of different countries, was to test the ability to react quickly to a hostile crowd, to improve movement and orientation techniques along a mountain route and to maintain the operation in the use of small arms in addition to improving mutual knowledge and interoperability.

The training represents an important opportunity to maintain a complete operational capacity and to consolidate the standardization of technical-tactical procedures, as well as being part of the activities authorized by the 1244 resolution of the United Nations Security Council which plans to guarantee security at the Decane Monastery, to maintain freedom of movement, to prevent recourse to violence and to develop projects of Civil and Military Cooperation aimed at supporting the process of economic growth in Kosovo.
