As part of civil and military cooperation activities for the local population, the Italian contingent of the Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG-W), an Italian-led multinational unit, recently donated material to the Catholic church of Klina, a municipality located in the west of Kosovo.

Colonel Salvatore Alessandro Sarcià, commander of the MNBG-W currently based on 4 ° chariot regiment of Persano, handed over to Father Martin Jetishi, parish priest of the Church, two wheelchairs for as many disabled Klina boys and clothes to be assigned to those most in need of local community.

Today's donation is part of a broader program of civil and military cooperation, carried out by the Italian contingent stationed in Belo Polije, which involves local authorities and humanitarian organizations operating in the area with the aim of contributing to reconstruction and stabilization area.

The church of Klina welcomes one of the largest Catholic communities in Kosovo and carries out charitable activities in favor of the weakest social strata in the area, regardless of their religious beliefs and / or ethnicity.

The church, which had been completely destroyed during the conflict, thanks to the many years of commitment and the contribution of the Italian contingents alternating in the area, is now completely rebuilt and active.
