Kosovo: The Italian contingent donates computer equipment to a primary school

This morning the civil and military cooperation of the Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG-W) of KFOR (Kosovo Force), Italian-led unit based on 132 ° chariot regiment of Cordenons (PN), donated computer equipment and school kits to the Cerkolez school. This small educational institution is of particular strategic importance as it constitutes a center of social aggregation for 25 families living in northern Kosovo.

The commander of the Multinational Battle Group West, Colonel Ciro Forte, who wanted to thank the village of Cerkolez for the warm hospitality shown. This demonstrates the affection that binds the military of the multinational contingent and the local population of Kosovo.

The donated material was in use at the A.MI.Ko. (Aeronautica Militare in Kosovo) of Gjacova / Dacovica, an Italian military stop transferred to the Kosovo institutions in 2013 after fourteen years of activity. Thanks to the "Consulta del Volontariato" of the Municipality of Castenaso (BO), it was possible to deliver notebooks, pens and other stationery for the young students of the Cerkolez school.

The activity that took place on this day is part of a broader framework of projects carried out by the Italian-led multinational unit. In fact, in recent weeks, the contingent has made other donations to various organizations operating in the Kosovo area. Among them it is worth mentioning that of last week in several families in the municipality of Dakovica / Djakova, in collaboration with the Italian non-governmental association "Amici dei Bambini".
