A series of bilateral meetings with the mayors of the municipalities of western Kosovo to discuss the needs and projects affecting the territories and the local community. Promoting these meetings was the commander of the western regional command of KFOR, Colonel Gabriele Vacca, who, in the past few months, had the opportunity to discuss various issues with the mayors.

These meetings, which took place in full compliance with UN resolution 1244 of 1999 and coordinated by Liaison and Monitoring Team (LMT), who operate daily in their respective municipalities, provided the RC-W commander with a clear and detailed vision regarding the needs and growth prospects of the municipalities.

During the various bilateral meetings, many topics were discussed, relating not only to the current situation facing each municipality, but also to future projects aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of the local community.

Expectations for the future represent a theme of primary importance for the municipalities of western Kosovo, especially in terms of collaboration and sharing of intentions with the multinational contingent employed in the operation.

The common denominator of the meetings can be summarized in the desire for growth, security and development, as a guarantee of a stable and safe environment for the entire community of western Kosovo.

The regional command west of the Kosovo Force (KFOR), in line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, contributes to maintaining a safe and secure environment, as well as freedom of movement for all communities living in Kosovo.
