In recent days, the Italian contingent of the Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG-W), an Italian-led multinational unit, donated health equipment to the "Isa Grezda" hospital in Gjakova / Dakovica, a municipality located in the western part of Kosovo.

The activity was carried out by the CIMIC cell of the MNBG-W, based on 62 ° Catania "Catania" infantry regiment, which delivered to the hospital director nine hospital beds and sixteen hospital cribs, all provided by the Italian Hospital '' Ospedali Riuniti Marche ", which will serve to implement the receptive capacities of the healthcare facility.

The donation is part of a broader program of civil and military cooperation in favor of the Kosovar population, carried out by the Italian contingent stationed in Belo Polje, which involves local authorities and humanitarian organizations operating on the territory with the aim of contributing to the development and to stabilize the area.

The hospital provides basic medical assistance to the local population through the emergency and internal medicine departments, as well as pediatrics and gynecology. The donated equipment will improve the hospitalization of more than a hundred patients and newborns in the pediatric and gynecology departments every year.
