In recent days, at the multinational base "Slim Line" in Pristina, intense training focused on crowd control procedures and public order management on the occasion of riots in urban environments was concluded.

The exercise, called "Fire Phobia", saw the Italian soldiers of the Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG W), based on 62 ° "Sicily" infantry regiment of Catania, working closely with colleagues from Austria, Slovenia and Moldova.

These nations contribute with their own contingents to the multinational operational unit of the Kosovo Force (KFOR), responsible for the west sector of Kosovo.

The military practiced facing different critical situations, such as the launching of "Molotov" incendiary objects and bottles by mobsters and the management of the "square" for the protection of the population and the urban environment.

The exercise represents an important training opportunity aimed at achieving a complete operational and amalgamation between the foreign components of the operating unit, and is also a fundamental step for the operational validation of the units currently deployed in Kosovo by NATO .
