During the meeting the two generals focused on the socio-political situation and the state of security in Kosovo; General Figliuolo also underlined the excellent collaboration between the Armed Forces of Albania and KFOR and expressed to General Bazo words of appreciation for the high professionalism shown by the military of the Albanian contingent employed in the mission.
General Bazo, in confirming the commitment of the Albanian Armed Forces to KFOR, underlined the crucial role that the mission plays in promoting progress and dialogue as a solution for the complete stabilization of the entire Balkan area.
The Albanian Chief of Staff and COMKFOR had already met last September in Tirana in the context of the so-called High Level Talks, talks with the military political leaders of the countries bordering the area of responsibility of the Kosovo Force. Today's meeting ended with the conviction that KFOR is a success story and must remain so.
