KFOR General Son inaugurates asylum

Today the commander of KFOR, division general Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, attended the inauguration ceremony of the new premises of the Mitrovica south nursery.

This initiative, made possible through the contribution of the NATO mission in Kosovo, by the NGO "Save the Children-Italy" and by Caritas Switzerland, has allowed for the renovation of the only municipal school, making it more comfortable and functional to the needs of children.

The event was attended by local authorities, including the mayor of the municipality, Agim Bahtiri.

The realization of this work will help to improve the educational and educational process of the small school enthusiasts.

"It is an honor to be present at the inauguration ceremony of this beautiful asylum," said General Figliuolo, taking the floor. "The school education system, as the best" investment "for the education and education of the child, is the most effective defense of the freedom, as it helps to enrich its cognitive development "(...). The realization of this project is the result of the cooperation between the various actors, both international and local, who have been working to make all this possible. "

Another important initiative will end tomorrow, 18 November, in the municipality of Mitrovica Nord. An agreement was signed on the donation of two cars by KFOR to a local institution for the reception and assistance of disabled children.

The activities carried out by the Kosovo Force military mission, based on the principle of tolerance and impartiality in favor of the local population, bear witness to the excellent relations of collaboration with the institutions of Kosovo and the international organizations operating in the area.
