KFOR: CIMIC donation in the municipality of Štrpce

Concluded a project of Civil and Military Cooperation (CIMIC) which saw the military of the Regional Command West (RC-W), together with those of Regional Command East (RC-E), make a donation of medical equipment to the Drejkoc clinic in Štrpce.

The handover ceremony was attended by the commander of RC-W Colonel Marco Javarone, the commander of RC-E Colonel Christopher Samulski, the commander of the KRT Battalion, the CIMIC Team of KFOR HQ, the CIMIC Team of RC-W and the commissioner to Health and Social Policies Marko Stanojevic.

On this occasion, a 12-channel ECG, 2 automatic external defibrillators, 4 5l oxygen cylinders, 4 pressure regulators with manometer, 25 oxygen therapy masks and 4 kits of dental irons were donated.

At the end of the donation, Mayor Jevtic expressed deep and sincere gratitude for the materials received as they are essential to increase medical support for the inhabitants of Štrpce.

The project, born from the collaboration between the Drejkoc Health Clinic and the LMT (Liaison Monitoring Team) of Polish nationality operating in the area, is funded by KFOR HQ and falls within the category of projects that are developed in support of local institutions and, in particular , to the health sector for minorities and vulnerable groups throughout Kosovo.

The Italian contingent of the KFOR mission, with the completion of its civil-military cooperation projects, will continue to ensure the fulfillment of the mission's task according to the dictates of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, in order to guarantee a safe and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo.
