The Kosovo Force (KFOR) has carried out a project of Civil-Military Cooperation, In collaboration with the Regional Command West (RC-W), for the donation of furnishing materials and toys in favor of the police station of the municipality of Klina, to make the premises intended to house women and children victims of domestic violence more welcoming.

Since 2003, the Klina station has been at the forefront of supporting those who suffer this type of crime.

Thanks to the support of KFOR, women victims of domestic violence will be able to enjoy a more comfortable and reserved environment, a "safe" space in which they can feel free to report the violence suffered to the police authorities.

The commander of the Regional Command West, the regional commander of the Kosovar police and that of the local Klina station, together with the deputy mayor of the city, presided over the donation ceremony.

In his speech, Colonel Gabriele Vacca, commander of the RC-W, underlined KFOR's commitment to supporting all communities in Kosovo to ensure a safe and secure environment, free from all forms of violence.

In this way, the synergy between NATO, the Italian contingent and the Kosovar institutions continues, in line with the mandate established by UN resolution 1244 of 1999.
