The Italian military, at the Mosul Dam, have handed the qualification diplomas to the military Zeravani who successfully attended the 1st "Basic Amphibious Course", in the presence of the commander of the Kurdistan Training Coordination Center (KTCC).

The course of the duration of 2 weeks, preceded by a period in which the capacity of the patrons attending to operate in an amphibious environment was assessed, saw the work of the instructors of the 185 regiment Reconnaissance Acquisition Objectives (RAO) and colleagues of the Royal Netherland Marine Corps (RNLMC), who organized and conducted training aimed at providing students with the knowledge of short and medium range reconnaissance procedures.

To this end, the visiting staff first became familiar with the inside of the dam basin using the inflatable boats, and then implemented the river patrol techniques directly on the Tigris river.

Il Kurdish Training Coordination Center (KTCC), currently at the helm of an Italian colonel, is composed of about 400 men and women from Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Finland, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey and Hungary, who are part of the "global coalition" created in September 2014 to defeat international terrorism and Daesh.

The training cycles able to simultaneously form 2 whole Battalions (about 1.400 units) have a total duration of 9 weeks that in this specific stabilization phase, oriented to the post Mosul, are focused on a training aimed at protecting the population, the infrastructures and the territory control.

Since its establishment in January 2015, the KTCC has trained about 32.800 Peshmerga, of which about 13500 by Italian instructors.
