Iraq: formed over 600 new cops

Since June 2015, Italy has deployed a Task Force in Iraq which now numbers over 100 men - also located in Erbil - which have trained about 11.000 policemen to date.

Activities in which the Carabinieri Task Force, framed in "Operation Inherent Resolve" trained 632 policemen of the Federal Police and Local Police, framed in the PAT (Police Advanced Training, advanced training addressed to Federal Police) and in the course Law and Order (basic formation of local police officers from the 5 provinces freed by Dae'sh).

The eight-week courses ended with a police exercise on public order and with the intervention of a SWAT structure, which took place in the presence of the Coalition authorities and the director of the Iraqi Federal Police Special Training School, Brigadier General Hussein Al Zeboun. On this occasion, words of praise were expressed for the professionalism highlighted by the carabinieri instructors and for the commitment of the weapon in the theater.

La Carabinieri Task Force has been planning for a long time different courses (basic, advanced, specialized and for trainers), of training of modern Police Forces, indispensable for the transition towards stabilization and normalization of the Country.

The Italian-led TF frames police from this year Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Czech Police and in the near future its multinational composition will be even more pronounced.
