Important recognition to Italian personnel in service to the NATO Command of Thessaloniki NRDC-GR

During the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of the foundation of the command NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Greece (NRDC-GR) in Sallonicco, the Deputy Minister of Macedonia and Thrace, Mrs. Maria Kollia, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Army, General Andreas Iliopoulos delivered an official recognition signed by the Greek Defense Minister protector Ioannis Giagkos, to the flag of the NRDC-GR command and to the staff of the headquarters that has most distinguished itself in the "Gordian Knot 2015" exercise.

Among the personnel allied to the NRDC-GR command appointed by the Hellenic Defense Minister were also awarded officers and non-commissioned officers of the Italian army who have distinguished themselves for their high professional contribution: the brig. January Bruno Morace, deputy chief of staff of the rear support command and italian senior, col. Riccardo Brizi, the col. Antonio Arivella, the ten. with the. Massimo d 'Ascanio and the mar. ca. Gabriele Palladini.

The NRDC-GR command, founded in 2005, for its strategic position in the Mediterranean, has assumed over the years an increasingly important importance in NATO. Moreover, after having completed with excellent results last June, the operational validation, conducted by the command for the terrestrial operations of NATO (LANDCOM) under the supervision of the command Supreme Headquarters of Allied Power Europe (SHAPE) the NRDC-GR, under the "Gordian Knot 2015" exercise, took over the certification of Rapid Response Force with the ability to be deployed in crisis areas in the shortest time.
