Prince of Wales visited yesterday the command of the NATO Kosovo Force (KFOR) mission in Pristina, the last stop on his tour in the Balkans. The commander of KFOR, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received the royal of England at the “Film City” base.

During the visit, Prince Charles, accompanied by General Miglietta, laid a wreath to remember all the soldiers of KFOR, including 14 English, who sacrificed their lives in the service of peace. To give greater solemnity to the event, the guard of honor, composed among others by the soldiers of the Italian army and the carabinieri engaged in the NATO KFOR mission.

Italy, which from the 2013 is in command of the KFOR, represents one of the main nations contributing to the mission for the stabilization of Kosovo.
