The Italian contingent completes two projects in Mogadishu

They took place in recent days, at the facilities of Mother Child Health Center (MCH) of the districts of Kaaraan and Waabari of the city of Mogadishu, the ceremonies for the completion of projects financed with funds from the Italian civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) in Somalia.
In the presence of the commander of Italian National Support, Colonel Bernardo Mencaraglia, of the representative of the mayor of Mogadishu, Captain Mohamud H Moghe and of various district authorities, the projects relating to:

- construction of a new wing of the medical clinic for pre- and post-delivery care dedicated to pregnant women and children in need of care in the Kaaraan district;

- restructuring of the entire Kaaraan health facility, including the building's roof;

- delivery of drugs to the two health agencies on behalf of theNon Governmental Organization Italian Perigeo.

CIMIC projects, within the framework of bilateral relations with Somalia, aim to improve the living conditions of the population. In particular, from the 2014, the Italian contingent in Somalia has completed 60 projects related to education, health, nutrition, safety, sport, culture and minority groups / vulnerable groups.
