The commander of KFOR meets the president of the Bulgarian Republic

The commander of the NATO multinational mission KFOR, division general Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, met with the President of the Bulgarian Republic, Rosen Plevneliev, during his state visit to Kosovo. The meeting took place at KFOR Headquarters at Camp Film City in Pristina.

President Plevneliev and COMKFOR discussed the state of security and the socio-political situation in Kosovo. The president expressed his appreciation for the work of KFOR and assured General Figliuolo that Bulgaria will continue to support the mission until the normalization process in Kosovo will not be irreversible. Plevneliev also confirmed the Bulgarian economic support to Kosovo especially in the field of infrastructure and energy.

"KFOR cooperates with the institutions of Kosovo and with the representatives of the international community to strengthen peace and stability in Kosovo and in the entire region - said the commander of KFOR - we are aware of being in a crucial phase of the mission and every decision on the future of KFOR will be taken on the basis of the conditions of stability and security on the ground ".

General Figliuolo thanked President Plevneliev for the professionalism of the Bulgarian contingent's military and for the contribution they offer to the success of the mission.
