The commander of the Allied Joint Force Command of Naples visiting the KFOR Command

Today US admiral Michelle J. Howard, commander of the Allied Joint Force Command of Naples (JFCN) visited the NATO force command in Kosovo (KFOR).

Admiral Howard, welcomed by the commander of KFOR, general div. Giovanni Fungo, was updated on the current socio-political situation in Kosovo and on the latest operational and support activities for the local population conducted by KFOR for the full maintenance of freedom of movement and the necessary security conditions.

During the visit, Admiral Howard took the opportunity to greet the military and civilian personnel of the KFOR Command to whom he expressed his deep appreciation for the excellent work he called decisive along with that of international organizations, because together they continue to ensuring a safe environment and full freedom of movement of people in Kosovo.

The admiral also met with female soldiers on a mission to Camp "Film City" (Pristina) to emphasize their commitment and that of KFOR in support of UN resolution 1325 "Women, peace and security", calling attention on the need to ensure full and effective participation of women in all phases of the peace process. The multinational force NATO in Kosovo, counts over 4000 men and women of 30 Countries.
