The Chief of Staff of the Air Force visiting the Air Kuwait Task Force

The Air Force General Enzo Vecciarelli, Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force, met the staff of the Air Force Air-Kuwait Task Force (TFA-K) by Ali Al Salem.

Welcomed by the commander of the TFA-K and visited the Kuwaiti headquarters of Al Salem, the ca. SMA received a briefing on the set-ups resettled in Kuwait and on the contribution offered by the Italian team to the coalition operating in the fight against Daesh.

The visit continued with the inauguration and blessing of the new flag altar and the unveiling of a summary plate of the aeronautical capabilities deployed at the Task Force.

During his speech, in addition to expressing great satisfaction with the work carried out by the TFA-K staff and expressing their best wishes for the upcoming holidays, the general expressed his desire for greater staff participation in the policy of change, identifying him as the barycentric element of armed force and encouraging it to contribute to aeronautical thinking aimed at improving the organization.

The Air Task Force in Kuwait has been operating since October of the 2014 with the task of carrying out intelligence, surveillance, aerial reconnaissance, electronic warfare and in-flight refueling operations. Makes use of Predator, AMX, and Boeing tanker KC767 located at the Air bases of Ali Al Salem, Ahmed Al Jaber and Ali Al Mubarak according to a complex device, but perfectly integrated and synergistic with the multiple components of the International Coalition.
