Already in November, the soldiers of the "Pinerolo" Brigade conducted an Italian language and culture course in favor of officers of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), carried out in collaboration with the "Dante Alighieri" company, which operates thanks to a agreement signed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the dissemination and certification of the Italian language with its own certificate, PLIDA (Dante Alighieri Italian Language Project), recognized by the ministries of the interior, education, labor and social policies.

The Italian contingent in Lebanon has the responsibility of the western sector of UNIFIL where 3500 soldiers from 11 operate different nations and of these 1000 are Italian.

The blue helmets operate on the basis of the 1701 2006 UN resolution, with monitoring of the ceasefire in collaboration with the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), to support the LAF to increase the operational capacity and assistance to the population with civilian military projects to improve living conditions and develop the local economy.
