The Austrian and Slovenian contingents of the Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG-W), a unit of the Kosovo Force (KFOR) with Italian leadership based on the 32nd tank regiment, organized a team training competition open to all KFOR personnel, called “Shark Games”. The competition, held at the end of March at the base of Villaggio Italia, thanks to the logistical support provided by the Italian contingent, was developed on various technical-operational disciplines: weighted gear with a 10 kg backpack with individual armament and equipment, pushing a truck large capacity, precision throwing of inert hand grenades, proof of Kombat-Fitness and a shooting practice with small arms supplied to the Slovenian and Austrian army.

It was the Austrian team of MNBG-W, out of 16 competing teams, to win the "Shark Games". The competition, in which Italians, Slovenes, Austrians, Moldovans, Americans, Portuguese and Hungarians participated, as well as confirming the high level of integration of KFOR, represented a further training and maintenance of operational capacity, which allows the contingent to be ready for any need in Kosovo, in line with the principles of UN resolution 1244.

4000 soldiers of 30 Countries, of which 550 Italians, organized on a Multinational Battle Groupa Multinational Specialized Unit (MSU) of the Carabinieri and a Joint Regional Detachment (JRD), all with Italian leadership.
