At the Italian military support base (BMIS) in Djibouti, the rotation ceremony of the force protection component between the men and women of the marine brigade took place Saint Mark and of the 2nd regiment Granaders of Sardinia, based in Spoleto.

The "passing of the baton" took place with a short but significant ceremony during which, in the presence of a representation of officers and non-commissioned officers from the BMIS and MIADIT19, the banner of the Marine Riflemen of the Marine Brigade was lowered Saint Mark and that of the 2nd regiment was hoisted Grenadiers.

In his speech, the executive officer of the Italian military support base, Lieutenant Colonel Maurizio Buscaino, greeted the rotating soldiers, underlining the fundamental importance of the role played by the force protection both in ensuring the security framework for the military installation and for the qualified and irreplaceable contribution in the logistical and operational activities of the base.
