It ended at the "Millevoi" Base in Shama, the headquarters of the command of Sector West led by the "Pozzuolo del Friuli" cavalry brigade, the "Blue Eyes 2017", joint exercise between the Italian blue helmets and the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) aimed at implementing the knowledge of basic command and control procedures relating to fire management tactical support.
For the first time since the start of the UNIFIL mission in the land of the Cedars, some LAF officers were involved in the exercise also in the planning and conducting phases of the activity.
Together with the "Blue Eyes 2017" a training activity was also carried out planned and conducted by the artillery officers of the "ITALBATT" Task Force, on a regimental basis Genoa Cavalleria (4th), coming from the "Voloire" horse artillery regiment and from the 132nd "Ariete" armored artillery regiment.
The activity ended with a series of practical exercises for observing the simulated shooting (computer assisted) in coordination with a battery level control post (FDC-fire direction center).
