The Italian soldiers stationed in Kuwait, employed in the anti-DAESH mission "Inherent Resolve" carried out a fire drill together with American personnel stationed in the Al Jaber base.
The scenario of the exercise was a hypothetical emergency situation, with a fire in the cabin of an aircraft and the wounding of some crew members.
The Air Force soldiers worked in close connection with their American colleagues, employing technical personnel from the flight line and fire-fighting units who provided first aid. The exercise ended with the safety of the places and the stabilization of the wounded.
The exercise tested the effectiveness of communications and coordination between the contingents, as well as the readiness of the intervention. All to improve safety standards, the protection of people and things. Particular attention was paid to verifying the effectiveness and rapidity of the activation of emergency management procedures.
