Mobile patrol course for the Afghan police

The carabinieri of Police Advisor Team (PAT) of Herat, have concluded, in recent days, a course on check points furniture, in favor of officers and non-commissioned officers of the Afghan Uniformed Police (AUP), of the Afghan Border Police (ABP) and of the Afghan National Civil Order Police (ANCOP), all based in Herat.

The course was divided into classroom lectures and practical exercises on operating procedures and police techniques to be applied in mobile police patrols especially in urban areas, characterized by high flexibility and maximum coverage of the territory, on personal and vehicle search techniques, as on the social value of the agents and on the correct approach to the citizen, which combined with a correct formal structure helps to instill in the citizens a positive perception of the sense of security.

The course ended with the delivery of the certificates, attended by the commander of the Train Advise Assist Command West (TAAC W), gen. b. Mauro D'Ubaldi, and the ten. with the. CC Matteo Salvatori, PAT Senior Advisor. The PAT is formed by the soldiers of the Arma, the 1 regiment parachutists "Tuscania", the 7 regiment "Trentino-Alto Adige" and the 13 regiment "Friuli-Venezia Giulia".
