The initiatives in favor of the people of South Lebanon continue

Learn more about UNIFIL and its peacekeepers. This is the objective of the initiative that yesterday brought 38 Lebanese children with special educational needs on a visit to Naqoura at the ITALAIR Task Force, an interforce flight unit operating under the UNIFIL mission.

Welcomed by the commander of ITALAIR, Colonel Claudio Luperto, the children of the Mosan Center in Tiro - an Institute that takes care of minors with different abilities - had the opportunity to see a static display of aircraft, attend the take-off and landing phases of helicopters and observe the Italian blue helmets in carrying out their daily activities.

The initiative is part of the activities aimed at encouraging the development of synergies with local authorities and the Institutions of South Lebanon and more generally in the program to support the civil population in compliance with the mandate of the 1701 resolution of the Security Council of the Nations United.

On this occasion, the Mosan Center set up a small exhibition at the ITALAIR Task Force of artifacts made directly by the young people who frequent the center, whose proceeds contribute to sustaining the reception facility.
