Italian contingent and Malta Order of Malta united for Kosovo

In recent days, the actual Italian contingent to the Kosovo Force (KFOR) handed three defibrillators to various locations in the Red Cross of Giakova / Dacovika, in the West of Kosovo.

The devices were donated by the Military Corps of the Italian Knights Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (ACISMOM), event course organized by the Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) of the Italian contingent.

The ACISMOM delegation led by Commander Colonel Mario Fine spent a week in Kosovo together with the Italian contingent, among other things organizing an information seminar on first aid techniques and the use of life-saving devices, frequented from about 40 volunteers from Red Cross Prizren, Peja / Peć and Giakova / Dacovika.

During their stay in Kosovo, ACISMOM staff also delivered, along with Italian military contingent, sports material to the female football team of Peja / Peć town, as part of an initiative called "Stop War ... Play Football ".

The Association of Italian Knights of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, founded in 1877, is a Special Auxiliary Corps of the Italian Army involved in the welfare field.
