The joint exercise, aimed at the need to guarantee and strengthen deterrence and speed of execution of the assigned mission, saw the confrontation between a platoon of the US Army and one of the US Army. The activity is part of the training cycle conducted by the units that make up the Multinational Battle Group Bulgaria.
During the competition the different teams faced numerous tests, including the setting up of the USA M121 mortar mounted on the M113 tank, the change of objective, the request for fire intervention carried out in manual mode on VBM Arrow Mortar holder and the simulation of a weapon jamming to test the soldiers' abilities in applying the correct projectile extraction procedures safely.
Furthermore, other checks were conducted which included the application of the turnstile (device issued to every soldier used to apply pressure to a limb or extremity in order to stop the flow of blood).
The teams also demonstrated their ability in the stabilization and transport of a wounded man on a stretcher, as well as in the disassembly and reassembly operation of the Italian ARX 160 and US M4 rifles.
The activity came to a conclusion with the victory of the US team, awarded by the commander of the MNBG BGR, Colonel Michelangelo Genchi, who underlined the importance of conducting joint exercises as an important moment of professional growth.
