Afghanistan: the Italian contingent completes a cycle of courses in favor of Afghan military 42

In recent days, an intense training cycle of about three weeks was concluded by Military Advisor Team (MAT) in favor of 42 military of theAfghan National Army (ANA) in service with the brigades of the 207th army corps.

Courses were carried out on the use of special vehicles used for the search and neutralization of mines and improvised explosive devices (Mine rollers) and on the techniques for carrying out surveys in places where explosions occur in order to discover elements that can be used by the investigators to identify those responsible and reveal the numerous phases that precede the final use of the bombs.

The representatives of the Afghan Defense and Security Forces who attended the ceremony for the delivery of certificates of participation, joined Lt. Col. Guido Russo, Commander of the Military Advisor Team, in expressing great satisfaction for the excellent level of training achieved by frequenters. The courses were held at the training area of ​​Camp Arena, headquarters of the Italian command in Herat.
