Afghanistan: the police continue the training of policemen

In the first two weeks of June, at "Camp Arena", home of the Train Advise Assist Command West based on the "Julia" Alpine Brigade, the Police Advisor Team (PAT) carabinieri organized and conducted two important courses on Social Networks and medical procedures, addressed to the personnel of the Afghan Police in the province of Herat.

The first on the security of social networks, chaired by Colonel Hamadi, head of the public information office of the Herat police, made it possible to improve knowledge in the management of the network and on security in the use of information. In addition to the police personnel, the lesson was also followed by a journalist from Radio Khalid who was thus able to strengthen the relationship of effective collaboration with the staff of the security forces and thus help spread to the local population the excellent work he does every day. the Afghan Uniformed Police (AUP).

The second course instead dealt with Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) and Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC) procedures. Both concern the complex of means, training, technologies and structures aimed at rescuing and evacuating the wounded in combat. Four policemen from the Regional Training Center and three policemen from the Afghan Border Police (ABP) were present.

The carabinieri have also trained new instructors who will in turn be given lessons in Combat Medic at training schools in the province of Herat. The personnel of the Afghan security forces and even more so the new recruits will know how to count, if necessary, on an immediate and very valid military medical assistance.
