Afghanistan: New Police Close Protection Team trained

- The Police Advisors of the Police Advisor Team (PAT) operating at the military base of "Camp Arena", headquarters of the Train Advise Command West (TAAC W), Italian command based on the Alpine Brigade "Julia", have just completed the course "Close Protection Team ”.

The training, aimed at nine Afghan Uniformed Police (ANP) instructors, four Afghan Border Police (ABP) instructors and four Afghan National Civil Order Police (ANCOP) instructors, was developed to further increase the capabilities of police officers Afghans who often run escort services to high civil and military authorities.

In particular, the course focused on techniques, tactics and procedures to be followed during close security activities, so as to form teams able to react promptly and in the most appropriate manner in case of attack on authorities and small groups.
