The Italian Civil and Military Cooperation (CIMIC) of the Train Advise Assist Command West, Italian-led command included in the NATO mission Resolute Support (RS), made two important donations to the Regional Hospital and to the Herat orphanage.

In particular, medical equipment was donated to the hospital for the neurology and intensive care units, while 80 beds complete with mattresses, pillows and sheets went to the orphanage. The materials represent a concrete and important help for the improvement of the general conditions for the assistance and care of the people hosted.

General Gianpaolo Mirra, commander of the TAAC-W, currently based on the "Pinerolo" brigade, received thanks from the representatives of the structures that did not miss the opportunity to thank all Italians for their sensitivity and closeness demonstrated over time to the Afghan people.
