Afghanistan: Change to CAI-I direction

16/07/15

In recent days, the Air Force Colonel Nicola Sebastio has handed over the direction of the Administrative Center of Interforce Force (CAI-I) to the Fabrizio Babusci paris. The ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Michele Risi, TAAC-W commander (Train Advise Assist Command West) and national contingent based on the “Julia” Brigade.

Colonel Sebastio (opening photo) leaves the CAI-I management at the end of a demanding financial year, carried out in the delicate moment of the transition from the ISAF mission to RS, made even more complex in anticipation of the definitive closure of the mission in Afghanistan, in which gave full support to the needs of the contingent employed in the operating theater, while offering a considerable contribution to the stabilization and development of the economic and social fabric of the Herat area, also thanks to the high professionalism of all employees.

In his farewell address, Colonel Sebastio thanked his staff for their professionalism, in a period of delicate transition, in which, however, attention to the staff and its needs has always been maximum.

General Risi greeted Colonel Sebastio with this thought: "... you have always provided a valuable contribution for the finalization of the many administrative issues. The activity carried out by CAI-I was fundamental for the achievement of the objectives assigned to the Contingent. CAI-I has shown compactness and team spirit by fully understanding, under your guidance, the importance of sharing intentions and objectives… ”.

The Administrative Center of Intendance - Interforce, established in 1 June 2007, is placed directly under the National Contingent commander, and guarantees administrative support to the national contingent deployed in Afghanistan, in full compliance with current regulations.
